Playwrights Project
Since 1996, NSTV’s Playwrights Project has been producing and cablecasting original one – act plays including a behind the scenes documentary. The productions are the competition winners of the annual Playwrights contest. This project was created by the late Norman Hall, former NSTV Board member and professional TV and stage director. Robert M. Schaufeld, NSTV Board President dedicated the studio control room to Norman’s memory, and renamed the competition; “The Norman Hall Memorial Playwrights Festival” in 2017.
This project is supported in part with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Huntington Arts Council.
